Hi,
I am trying to install Vegas 6 and also Soundforge on my new PC, which I refuse to hook up to go online---this new PC is just for editing. I use my laptop for online things.
I tried installing Microsoft.Net framework (NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-x86) from a CD which I copied the file to, and I get the following message:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program"
Does anyone know WHAT file(s) I need to put on my new PC , which is running XP Pro? Keep in mind, I won't go online with the new PC so I'm finding it difficult because most of the Microsoft pages won't allow me to download to a CD or any file that I choose.
Help greatly appreciated,

PS. I should note that this new PC has been sitting around my place for over a year without being used much at all.
