Hello,
Is it possible to open VV3 captured files in Discreet Combustion. It states that the "Codec is not installed". This doesn't seem to be a problem with our Avid DV system. The footage opens fine in After Effects.
Could this a problem with Combustion not using the right Codec (its installed on the same computer as Avid which has its own DV codec)? I have checked the installed Video codecs in the control panel. There does not appear to be a VV3 codec there. We had a bit of a problem their as someone installed the Matrox DV codec on the machine as well which well and truly screwed everything up. With the Matrox codec installed Combustion would recognise the file but the picture would be unrecognisable garbage. After Effects had the same problem. I removed the Matrox codec with much difficulty (another story). Now, After Effects loads the file fine but Combustion wont recognise it at all.
I reinstalled VV3 but it did nothing.
Is it possible to re-install the VV3 codec independantly of the main program?
