unable to play BDR on Cyberlink Power DVD player

I burned a blu-ray disc via VMS. I am able to play this disc on my Windows 8 computer which burned the disc. However, unable to play this disc on my W8 laptop which is equipped with a blu-ray disc player (Cyberlink power DVD-BD). IT says the disc was burned in a manner which the player does not support.
Anyone have the same problem, and how did you resolve?
thanks

This is one of the most common problems with software Blu-ray players and is likely due to a large number of variable factors.

I say you can always satisfactorily test a burned blu-ray against a number of set-top players to "iron" out variables in the disk authoring step. Then you will arrive at a "good" value for burned disc to meet set-top player specs.

Unfortunately some issues with software players can not be compensated for. Try burning a Blu-ray disk with whole different production system of video and disc authoring for comparison.
