Unable to start VMS Platinum9

Hi
I am unable to start Vegas Moviestudio 9 Platinum and get the following error message

An error occurred starting Vegas Movie Studio Platinum

An internal error happened in the common language Runtime's execution engine.

Failed to initialize script host.

Can anyone help?

I uninstalled and re installed but it made no difference.

Sounds more like a Windows issue?
Have you installed some updates? Changed NET Framework?
Had a blue screen?

Select a known good restore point and try that. You can always undo.

Thanks, but no, I have had no crashes,no updates etc. I also own Vegas Pro 9, but out of curiosity wanted to compare something (they are on different machines) and found this problem. I un installed and re installed 3 times, and tried a restore, but it did not work.
