I have tried with all speeds,16X,12X,8X, with the same problem. As also I Have tried with Sony made DVD's, but with no hope

Please let me know the cause of the problem & its solution.

I would not recommend burning DVDs at faster than 4X -- although DVDs can be rated as high as 16x. What are your discs rated?

Also, I'm not clear if your burner is -R, +R or dual format, but do ensure that your discs match that format. You may be having trouble burning DVD-Rs because you have a DVD+R burner.

The brand of disc can also make a difference. Cheaper discs (particularly Memorex) are notoriously inconsistent in quality, and can often fail during burning.

As I say in my book, stick with reliable brands like Verbatim and you'll be assured of the highest possible quality in your burns and playback.

Sir,
Thank u for your response, my writer supports DVD+R,DVD-R as well Dual layer DVD"s, the speed of the DVD-R media I am Using Is 16X, the Drive Supports upto 20X speed.
After first installation I have already burnt DVD-R Disc so the question of support does not at all rise; The same brand & batch I am using now, astonishingly I find at present the burner fails to do that & the window showing burn status,The upper one with green bars is always showing 66% whatever the file size( This is in Case of DVD-R).
What I find when I sent the incident to Sony Creative Support team till date I did not Receive an effective reply, It is quite amazing to find out that a Software co. with full support team could not solve it out till now!
Do u know with the same burner using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 I have burnt the AVI file of the same project which I was working with Sony Vegas Platinum 9 as also the same Discs are burnt With Nero 7 with the same Burner. Now tell me what's the use of Purchasing Sony Vegas Platinum9 With Bundled DVD Architect Studio 4.5d Build 107?:
Verbatim Discs are not available in Kolkata,India.
