Ungroup audio from video

I'm using Vegas Pro 12. I have three video camera tracks in a project. I'm not using the audio tracks that are attached to the video. I think I used to be able to hghlight the video and audio and hit U to ungroup them and then I could delete the audio. It's not working. Is there a different way to do this, or have I forgotten the correct way? Thanks for any help.

Hitting U should do the trick, and G to enable grouping.

You can also enable the Ignore Event Grouping button. or Ctrl+shift+U.
That green icon with lock & film strip.

Bingo! Ctrl+shift+U works if I only highlight the video. I thought I had to highlight both the video and audio. I think I just forgot how to do this. Thanks.

If the audio from all the clips is on the same track you can just delete the track.

I use OldSmoke's method pretty much exclusively, although usually i just mute the track while i'm editing so that i can continue to check sync as i go. I don't delete it until i'm done with the edit.

Timeline Tools has a display feature that shows all your currently assigned Project A/V Groups.
