I just received delivery at my office of the upgrade to version 2 and am perusing the documentation and rereading the posts here about it. I can't wait to get home tonight to give it all a spin.
I'm reading the manual and the readme files, and there is no mention of upgrading, which leads to a few simple questions that I hope the SF techs can give authoritative answers to:
1. Should version 1 users first uninstall VF 1 and the earlier Video Capture? (Posters have been indicating varying experiences, and I want to install the new version without any avoidable glitches.)
2. What becomes of earlier projects and libraries? Are the old folders maintained if you uninstall the old version before the new install?
Simple questions, but clear answers will make the upgrader fearless.
BTW, I have tried VideoWave III and ULead VideoStudio 5, and, hands down, Video Factory is by many magnitudes the finer product. And if the 4 gig limit is now breached (my first project tonight is a 40 minute video of a classical vocal recital), even more power to you! Keep up the good work.
