uninstalled v5, plug-ins don't load into v6

I have been using Vegas 6 for some time and uninstalled v5. Now when I start Vegas and it loads the project I was working on, I get an error. this is the "details" part of the error. Any thoughts about what is wrong will be appreciated.

The audio plug-in "Sony Track Noise Gate" on track #2 was not found or did not load properly.
The audio plug-in "Sony Track EQ" on track #2 was not found or did not load properly.
The audio plug-in "Sony Track Compressor" on track #2 was not found or did not load properly.

This should not have happened but it looks like the Vegas 5 uninstaller removed some of the shared plug-ins. I would just re-install Vegas 6 and it should clear this up.

Tried reinstalling but it didn't cure the problem. Do I have to uninstall first, do you think? I didn't do that.

When is Sony going to do something about this.
My situattion was this - had both V5 & V6 installed (along with DA 2&3).
Cleaned up the home PC on Friday Night - uninstalled V5 and DA2 and yes the horrible audio plugin not installed problem.
Read just about every thread i could - tried the migration utilties - not relevant I think.

I gathered the only sucess being had was an uninstall/reinstall for V6 after removing V5. My problen was that its a 3 day holiday weekend here in Queensland Australia and my license key is in the office and I don't feel going back there until Tuesday.

So I have reinstalled V5 and all appears OK with V6 (had that license handy) - no error message.
Does this upset anything else in the universe?
This is a programming issue related to different versions. When will Sony do something about - having to uninstall/reinstall is a pain of this highest order. I ca't see where Sony have written anything usefull about this ( I could be wrong). I don't know about anyone else but my desktop and vegas settings tend to evolve and I dont like having to set them up again simply because I cant remember them all.

ok - thanks
but it shouldn't be this way - it's an absolute nuisance.

The question is really how do you uninstall V5 after you have installed V6 and not have things disappear?

Can Sony answer this pls?
