The beta will quit working, so there's little reason to leave it installed. If you uninstall it after the full version, there's always a slight chance that something will be removed from the windows registry that you don't want removed, so generally it would be best to remove the beta first.

You should be able to open any saved projects in the full version, but you'll lose any preferences you've set & the history list if that's what you're referring to.
