Universal Event Pan Crop? Question

mark003 wrote on 9/21/2006, 3:44 AM
I have a set of 184 stills that I'm making into a video. They all seem slightly big so I'm going to have to either use the event pan crop and make each slightly smaller or edit each image and make the file size smaller on each picture. I'd prefer to not change the file size because they are already pretty small (around 150kb each).

So, is there a way to universally use the event pan crop button and slightly back all the pictures up so they are smaller? Doing it 184 times is crazy and I can't find anything in the manual.

Thanks!!!!!

I don't know if you can do this in Vegas Studio, but you can try it and see if it works ... In the full version of Vegas you can set the pan/crop on the first picture, copy that event, right-mouse-button click on it and choose "select events to end", then right-mouse-button click again and choose "paste event attributes". This will paste the pan/crop settings from that first picture to all of them.

Never heard about this - but tried to do as described.
I have VMS 7.0a - and Result: It works!
Some time ago I have looked for a way to crop a long row of 4:3 pictures etc. to 16:9 but did not find any.
However what Kelly describes also can do that trick.
Great.

Some days ago I could copy and paste event attributes as described above. Tried it in 6.0b and 7.0a.
However today - when I have made the copy and right click another event or a selection of events - the text "Paste event attributes" in the drop down menu is just grey and can not be chosen. No matter if I try to copy just a simple Pan/Crop or more heavy things.
I can still do it in 6.0b but not any more in 7.0a...
Of course it is my fault - have probably touched some switch - but after 2 hours of seeking and reading manuals etc. I can not find what to do...
Please tell me...
