UNLOCKING ELEMENTS

Is there a way to do a massive "unlock" of elements in Vegas 4.0?

I'd like to insert some blank time at the beginning of the project, but all the elements have been locked, and I'd rather not manually unlock several hundred items.

You can choose Insert>Time from the time menu and that should work. You may have to choose the correct ripple-edting format.

If the events are locked, then Insert Time will not move them.

Your best best is to select all the locked events and they should all unlock by setting one. Also, you could open Edit Details > Show Events and uncheck the Lock mode on each one you need.

I've got several hundred elements across about 20 minutes.....argh.
