Unlocking Events

I have a veg file created in Vegas ver 6 or 7 that when finished I locked all the events. I want to edit this veg file in Vegas Pro 8,0b, but I can't seem to unlock the events, What am I missing? The Help/ Search function was of no help

So, does that mean you tried to unlock them, and it didn't take? Or you don't remember how to unlock them?

Select the events, then right-click one and go to Switches > Lock (which unchecks if it's already checked, and checks it if it's already unchecked). Seems to work for me okay.

Yeah, I forgot! Happens when you've been away from Vegas for a while. I'm a little disappointed that a search for "lock" in the help menu didn't point more directly to the answer. Anyway, thanks for your help and especially your timely response.

If you type "lock" into the index, "Locking Events" is the fifth item down. Can't really expect the search function take to "directly" to anything since it looks for every occurrence of the word "lock," which is used a lot -- in several different contexts.

Speaking of Lock but actually of Mute (or other non-standard tool icons)...

Is there a script or ? to be able to add an icon to the tools so one can lock without all the right-clicking through to Switches and such?

Mute is the one I'd like most, but open to whatever other add-to-toolbars tweaks.
