I recently purchased the VEGAS Pro 18 Edit Steam Edition. When I try to run it I get the following error: "Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)" and it stays at "Creating file I / O manager ...".

As your purchase was through Steam, when you contacted Steam Support about this problem, what was their response? After all, the fault module lies within Steam games.

Your problem is also that Vegas likes it the best to be installed at C/Program Files where also Windows has to be installed.

The installation folder of Steam applications / games follows the Steam settings. He has manually set it to D:\Steam games\

Try the latest update to the program which fixed Vegas not starting for some people:

"Fixed crash on startup related to some Intel GPU drivers"
