Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005) Vegas Pro 14

Sam wrote on 8/11/2017, 12:55 AM

In my time of editing videos so I can post it up for the world to view I have used a product known as Vegas Pro 14. Formerly known as Sony Vegas Pro I have come to use this program as it would add more detail and whatnot. I have been really satisfied with how my videos turned out and am pretty well acquainted with the program itself. However, I have recently come across a problem with my program. Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005). When this first happened I thought it was just some glitch that appeared with my video, so I redid everything and started to render the finished creation. But this same problem has occurred. I tried to reinstall the program but it still messes up. I tried messing with the preferences tab as per the Youtube video I watched instructed, still messes up. I tried turning off the GPU acceleration and it still messes up. I have held the CTRL + Shift key together before I booted up the program and checked the box and tried rendering the video, and yet again, Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005). I am clearly very pissed as I swear I tried every trick in the "How to Compute 101" book (Sarcasm) and got no results, in fact I may have made it worse. I will post all the error messages I have received since the time I started pasting it into a separate Word document.

My question for all of this is if there is another solution I can try to use and fix this situation I have with the rendering stage of my program. The first time this happened the problem always occured at a certain point, although it's hard to tell now.

I believe you've been running on empty for sometime. And, now, something has pushed your B141 over the edge. I've had this happen to me.

Have you had M$ "offer" updates? OK, how's your .NET FrameWork?

Sam wrote on 8/12/2017, 1:46 PM

@Cornico I'm not entirely sure how to supply you with all the information you need, but I did get the clean installation of Vegas Pro 14 with it's new build 270. And yet the problem still occurs. I will post the mediainfo for the corrupted rendered video, one of the file properties from my project media and then all of #9 from the post of one Nick Hope.

1. I want the video for Youtube. My Resolution is 1440x1080 and it's FPS is ~30.

2. Just upgraded the Vegas Pro 14 to build 270 and it works for other types of videos I rendered.

3. Version of Windows = 1703

4. The Source Media used is OBS Studio. Not sure what codec is used however.

5. Media Info is located above.

6. Two File Properties from the project is located above, underneath the Media Info.

7. I tried to render it as 8 Mbps HD 1080-30p Video. Output Format = Windows Media Audio 9.2. No custom settings for the rendering.

8. Well, the situation varies from when I tried different ways to fix the problem. But if I were to get a screenshot of this problem then I would have to wait a few hours to retrieve it. Basically the symptoms I receive are... It stops at a certain point. So this time it stopped at 35 %. And then I receive a message in a separate window saying that my Vegas Pro had stopped working. If you need to see this problem yourself just search up

Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)

And it looks exactly like any video you may find, however the problem is quite different as most of the people had the problem with Vegas 12 or 13, whilst I have it with 14.

9. It's hard to say exactly where the problem is. The program just stops working and that's really all I can tell you. I can't say for sure if the rendered video is the problem or if it's the preview window. However I can say that when I checked over a "fully rendered version" of the video, the audio stops exactly where the last image on the preview screen of the rendering process stops.

10. Intel(R) HD Graphics 510

11. Driver Version = 21.20.16.4550

12. GPU Processing = Intel(R) Corporation (Intel(R) HD Graphics 510)

@Grazie, I'm sure you mean to help me, but if you were to put down how to find/know where everything you said would be. I'd be able to tell you.

Also, please note this:

Fault Module:        C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.9279_none_08e667efa83ba076\MSVCR90.dll

That is your video driver that's crashing. You might try updating your video driver.

Sam wrote on 8/12/2017, 5:33 PM

@jetdv Are you possibly referring to my Display Adapter needing to be updated? If so I just did but my display is already up to date.

jetdv wrote on 8/14/2017, 11:00 AM

I'm saying that the dll that crashed, per your error message, is related to your video driver.

i have the same problem .. it really fustrate , i tried almost everything ...

karma17 wrote on 12/21/2017, 4:19 AM

Are your source video files on the same drive that you are rendering to? If yes, do you still get the error if you put the source files on a different drive from the one you are rendering to? Just curious.
