Unmanaged Exception (0xe0434352) at startup

Hi everyone,

I just purchased Vegas Pro 23 today and I have been unable to launch the program even once. Every attempt results in an immediate crash with the following error:

Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xe0434352)
Fault Module: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll
Application Version: 23.0 (Build 302)

I’ve spent several hours troubleshooting and have already tried every fix I could find. Here’s a full list of what I have attempted so far:

System File Repairs

  • Ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (completed successfully)
  • Ran sfc /scannow (completed successfully)
  • Rebooted multiple times

.NET and Visual C++

Reinstalled:

  • .NET Desktop Runtime 6 (x64 + x86)
  • .NET Framework 4.8
  • Visual C++ Redistributables:
  • 2013 (x64 + x86)
  • 2015–2022 (x64 + x86)

Vegas Software Resets

  • Reinstalled Vegas Pro 23 completely
  • Launched using CTRL + SHIFT and cleared:
  • “Delete all cached application data”
  • “Reset to default values”
  • Program still crashes immediately after the splash screen begins

GPU-Related Attempts

  • Tried launching with integrated graphics
  • Disabled the discrete GPU in Device Manager (still crashes)
  • Tried modifying NVIDIA/AMD graphics settings (if applicable)
  • Cleared GPU cache via Vegas reset

Windows

  • Fully updated Windows
  • Verified no corrupted system files
  • No antivirus/VPN interference

Vegas Pro 23 (Build 302) will not launch at all.
It crashes within 1–2 seconds and produces the same error

At this point I’m out of ideas and would appreciate any help from the community or staff.

Specifically:

  • Is this a known issue with Vegas Pro 23 Build 302?
  • Is there a newer build (e.g., 326) I should manually update to?
  • Is there a common cause for 0xe0434352 related to Vegas initialization?
  • Are there any logs I can provide to help diagnose the crash?
  • If needed, I can also share my system specs, GPU, drivers, and Event Viewer logs.

Thank you in advance, any guidance is appreciated.
