Unrecoverable Video Capture Errors

I hope that someone can help me.i set up vid factory and
the vid capture application and every thing seemed OK but
when I try to use the video capture application my PC
generates an unrecoverable error and reboots. It reboots
every time I try. I set it up with winows 98 and then I
tried with windows 2000, and I get the same result. I wont
bother you with pasting the generated error log, except for
the headding,
Sonic Foundry Video Capture
Version 2.0b (Build 39)
Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) READ:0x0 IP:0x0
In Module 'sfvidcap.exe'
My PC is a P3@800Mhz 500 Megs of ram on an ASUS 185 chipset
(133mhz bus) board. I have a martox MGA400 video card, Creative SB
Live sound card and should be ample HD
space.
Please I hope that someone can help me I just recently
purchased this software, because I had been very happy with
sound forge so I thought this would be better than the
bundled software, which had to many limitations, but it
didn't crash my systen atleast.

Make sure that you have the latest Matrox drivers- we've
seen this before and many times (not always) display driver
updates will help.
