Unregistered Presets, Vegas Pro 21

BRATFIED wrote on 10/25/2024, 5:09 AM

Hello! I'm using Vegas Pro 21 correctly because I love the new updates etc. This one is better than Vegas Pro 15, when I Open Vegas Pro 15 My Presets can be used... But sadly when I open it with Vegas Pro 21 it comes out as "Unregistered", is there any fix that doesn't cost money or anything? I want to use my presets, but I'm unable to because its "Unregistered"

Is your Vegas Pro 21 a registered product or a trial version?

What FX and/or plugins are these presets in? Or are you referring to 3rd party plugin packages provided with Vegas Pro 15 which could be license-locked to Vegas Pro 15 - which would explain the 'unregistered' message?

What specifically do you see popping up as "unregistered" ?

Also did you pay for the newer version of Vegas Pro 21 upgrade ?

The presets are customed ones i found online, these works on vegas pro 15, just not on 21.

As those presets are not native Vegas Pro plugins or from any of the well-known 3rd party plugin companies (e.g. Boris, NewBlue) that partner with Vegas Pro releases/offers, you'd really need to contact the company/individual who released the Spixy plugin package. There were some coding changes in Vegas Pro 17 (from memory) that required some 3rd party plugin packages to be updated by their companies (especially FXHome's Ignite Pro) in order for them to work in Vegas Pro 17 and up. That may also be the case with Spixy as their plugins may need to be released for current day Vegas Pro coding - but only their creator will know for sure.

So the best mostly is to find some Boris or NewBlue Presets if I don't wanna do all that xD? and if yes do I place them into the Preset Manger 2.0?

Plugins from BorisFX, NewBlueFX and other plugin companies are usually installed via an .exe file and will automatically appear in Vegas Pro following installation.

Please note that a 'preset' is a setting within a plugin. The plugin manufacturer often includes a number of presets within the plugin and there is usually the ability for the user to save as a 'preset' custom plugin settings so that those settings can be used on other video events.

@BRATFIED,

 @Dexcon is absolutely correct. Third party plugins are the sole responsibility of their providers; they are neither tested by, or known to Vegas Development, and as such these guys are completely on their own turf. Video plugins are often written by teenagers at their bedroom computers. Their are no requirements or rules.

If they work, that's a good thing, but in no way are they promised or endorsed by Vegas Creative Software.

Welcome to the discussions; I hope you find a solution from that plugin seller, or another that meets your needs.

The creator of the Spixy plugins is available on X as yospixy. Try asking them ...
