Unsure about MP4 file

This is my first time trying a MP4 file. This video has from a head-cam while dirt bike riding. After loading into Movie Studio HD 10, before doing anything,I played it in the monitor and it was very jerky. The properties of the video was 1280x960x12, AVC.
Audio was 48,000 Hz,Stereo,AAC. Do I have to go into Project Properties and change the settings to match the video properties to get it to play smooth? Thanks.

Sorry guys. Just read post about Poor Playback Performance and found my answer.

Yes, your project properties should always match your source footage, so you gain performance (since this way your editor won't have to resample anything on the fly). Also, make sure your preview window's setting is either preview/auto or draft/auto. Vegas 10 should be able to be fast with these files on a modern and fast PC.
