Here is a quirky situation that may well be a vegas glitch (or me)....
I’m working on a multi-cam project with Gearshift. After completing the first rough cut, I decided to render to DVD to get a feel of how everything flowed. To keep the render time at a minimal, I used the proxies and only used “preview” for render quality. Playing the test DVD, all is fine. I decided I wanted to see how things would be at a better quality render, I gearshifted the proxies and rendered using “best”. When I played the new test DVD, I noticed one of the cameras now had out-of synch audio. It turned out to be 18 frames out of synch. Thinking I may have hosed the veg file, I gearshifted the project back to the proxies and the audio on the offending track was fine. Once again, replaced the proxy with the m2t files and rendered. As before, the same camera has out-of synch audio....grrrrrrrr.
This really seemed strange. I decided to check things a bit deeper. Once quirky thing I discovered was this: Looking at the preview window and have the timeline cursor over the offending camera track, when I switched between the proxy and the real file, the video moved...none of the other camera tracks showed this quirk. I decided to create a new proxy of the offending file. When complete I tested the new file and all was fine. I have no idea why one of the m2t files/proxies had this error...only glad I was able to fix....
Any ideas?
