Unwanted audio compression

After importing the pieces for a DVDA project I'm hearing serious audio pumping when I preview the project. I checked the wave file that was imported and it's fine. Is there a setting I can change to kill the compression? Thanks for all help.

DVD Architect doesn't compress audio range, either during preview or render.
Maybe some setting on your audio card?
What audio files are you bringing in?
What Vegas version do you have?
What Vegas templates and settings are you using to render the audio?

I didn't think so. I'll check my settings for the audio in Vegas. Maybe I accidentally enabled the track compressor before rendering. It's a long file. I may have spot-checked it inadequately.

My bad! The audio DVDA was grabbing was an AC3 file instead of the wave file. All fixed!
