Unwanted strobing after colour correction

I'm doing a multicamera edit using Marty's tutorial but have developed a problem. I had to brighten up one my 5 video tracks by using the Colour Curves. After applying the Colour Curves, the video track played fine in the preview window. But when I split a portion of the colour corrected clip and dragged it onto the master video track, it played back with a strobing effect when the master track was played on the monitor. When I turn off the Colour Curves on the master track, the strobing goes away but, of course, the video is once again too dark. The other 4 unaltered tracks play fine when placed onto the master video track.
Have I missed something?
Thanks,
Aldo.

What's your frame-rate when this clip is playing (i.e. Vegas has to slow down the framerate in order to keep up and display everything in real time.) I'll bet it looks fine once rendered.

Was there any florescent lighting? I had a problem like this with color curves in florescent lighting. You might try dampening the highs or lows or midtones and bringing up what doesn't appear to strobe. Brightening the image in the wrong areas might bring this out.
