update sucks

preview window does not retain perspective
constant crashes and does not launch Support feedback window
project history erased
can't drag files to timeline
reinstalling from older trial doesn't roll back from build 421

you finally got v17 working stabilly and then you update and it ***** up on so many levels.

I would suggest uninstalling with a third-party uninstaller that removes leftover folders, register entries and pertinent system files the OS uninstall leaves behind,
Then reinstall. Many folks like the Revo Uninstaller, which has a free version as well as a pro version.
