Update Vegas Video 4c or 4d which is it?

I downloaded the 4d update from the link that SonicEPM had in his announcement the the Vegas 4d update was available, at work because I can get it in several minutes instead of several hours. I insalled it at home and all was smooth. I noticed however that going through the installation process it said "Vegas Video 4c update" which I already have. It then brought me to the "Repar or Remove" screen. I said repair as there was no option to install anything new. After installation my "About Vegas" screen says Vegas Video 4c. I thought it should say 4d. Did I get something that wasn't packaged right? I have rebooted and I still have 4c, oh well I guess I will download it from the update page tonight

It should be BUILD 205 if it's 4.0d.

No it's still Vegas 4c build 184, cannot figure this out, I'm sure I downloaded 4d but I installed it from my pin drive. It found the Vegas folder in my program files and everything went as in my first post.

I downloaded it last night over night (modem user) and didn't have a problem. Here's something to try: when you run the update (the EXE), don't extract it to the default folder. extract it to it's own folder (ie instead of .../.../.../Vegas40, call it Vegas 40d). It sounds like some files aren't getting over written when you try to install it.

The link and file are both correct. Try right-clicking the link, choose Save File as, and type in a new name (like Vegas4bld205.exe). Sounds like it isn't overwriting your previous download (which had the SAME name)

Hello, I downloaded the upgrade from the "Upgrade page" to my PC at home over night, 4 hours I got it. The difference was, this time when I clicked to download the update it took me to a page to fill in name, e-mail etc. It might have been a cookie thing. When I downloaded it at my office , have a T-1 there it too only 10 seconds to do but it went straight to download and bypassed the name and address page. Any way, ihave installed the 4.0d with no ill effects.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
