Updates frequency

The most recent build of V13 now appears to be over 4 months old. I am waiting for a build to support Red Dragon 5k files, something Vegas is supposed to be able to do, but does not. I am sure there are other problems people are patiently waiting for a fix for. By memory I seem to recall new builds coming more frequently for Vegas 11 and 12. Does anyone know if a new build is coming soon or is Sony slowing/stopping development?

None of the above.

In the Vegas Specs page I don't see anything that specifically says it support Red Dragon 5K files. In the readme perhaps?

R3D files are listed as supported. I reported the problem with Dragon files to Sony about 8 weeks ago. On 10/17/14 Eric D. from Sony responded to me "This is listed as a known issue in our database, to be resolved in a future application update. " Hence why I am waiting for a fix.

I don't think the support has been updated since the Red Scarlet was added. Was that Vegas 11?
Vegas does not support the latest Red Color Version 3 introduced in 2012

According to the Dragon's tech specs it can deliver DPX & OpenEXR. Vegas specs say it can read that, try that.

Could be because Vegas doesn't support video files above 4k (Vegas specs say 4k editing) & that's why: camera is just to new. Wikipedia doesn't say when the Epic Dragon was released so I can't say for sure if it's a codec that Vegas might support.

Dragon cannot deliver DPX or OpenEXR, but files can be converted. I have tried converting to EXR with another program, Vegas can read it but slows to a crawl on the files.
Vegas can use the 6k Dragon file that can be downloaded here:

Epic Dragon has been available for one year ( initially small quantities), lots of availability since spring 2014, Scarlet Dragon is available for about 6 months now. As I mentioned Sony support indicate this is a known issue at their end, I just wish they would update software and fix at a reasonable pace
