Updating edited media

Geoff_Wood wrote on 11/29/2002, 6:10 PM
I just had a track I wanted to trim a few seconds off, and tweaka little, so I opened it in SF (directly from CDA5). After editing and saving, I noticed the waveform was not updated, so I removed it from teh track view, then re-inserted it. Still not updated. The only way to get the updated file in there was to remove it from teh media pool, then re-open.

MAybe this could be looked at.

Oh, yeah, and I've had the 'not recognising blank media already in teh drive, unless re-inserted' bug too. LiteOn 36x .

If you press F5 (rebuild peaks), does that also work?

Our apps look at the 'last modifed' timestamp to detect if peaks need to be rebuilt. SF should be updating this, and therefore, CDA5 should detect it.

No, F5 rebuilds the peaks but the waveform displayed is the same as before the edit ( a 5 second length of silence, which is pretty obvious !)
