Updating Markers? They didn't!

I have a 80 minute project with about 60 markers in it. I did the project last winter. I had three or four changes to the project which required me to move most of my markers.

I rendered the project as a DVA Stream and opened the old DVA project, it told me that the project markers had changed and did I wish to reload them. I told it yes.

I have just burnt my first DVD and all the thumbnail menus point to the wrong places. I assume that they are pointing to the old marker locations.

Is there an easy way to fix this?

I tried moving the markers on the timeline from the main menu, but that doesn't work either. The old chapter points seem to be stored with the thumbnail and I have to go into each one separately and reset it.

This wouldn't be so bad, but DVA is running much slower than I remember from last time. It takes a full 45 seconds to reload a thumbnail submenu when I come back into it from adjusting a marker or thumbnail from the timeline. I am easily looking at 2 minutes per marker adjustment time waiting for things to load. (P-III 1GHz Dual with 512 RAM)

Thanks,

Kirk

Open your source file in the Vegas trimmer. Are the markers there?
If yes, check to make sure they are in the right place, adjust placement if needed. You can resave the markers in the Vegas trimmer without rerendering the source file.

Reload the source file in DVDA, choose yes to update markers if prompted.

Well? The markers are not in the rendered file. I have found some errors and will have to rerender the project anyways.

I must have missed some setting that embeds the markers into the project.

Thanks,
