I get the same message when I installed (Build 373) for the first time. I hope it's not because we have the same last name.

The easy try is undelete all Vegas files and folders that you can find, then use CCleaner to clear the registry and any other C--- it can find. Then try to install again.

If that fails, save any data on your C drive, reinstall an image backup of your C drive (starting from the most recent and working backwards if necessary), restore your data and any other programs as necessary, and then install Vegas.

I don't have this problem, but since upgrading I get, on start up, an error message saying:

"The type initializer for '........' threw an exception"

The info shown above as a series of dots selects a music font, and therefore is displayed as a pair of double semiquavers, followed by two vertical lines with a short horizontal line through the middle of each, and with a full stop separating them.

I haven't used this version of Vegas in anger yet, and have not noticed anything else amiss.
