upgrade 8 to 9 by downloading

have just upgraded from platinum 8 to 9 via download from sony. I have no help files in program and I still cant get an imported avi file to show video only audio. Also I have the Cinescore Studio prog but cant fing a execute icon. Is it in part of vegas? I havent been asked to register it. Help please

I only have 8, but if I recall, the upgrade is a full version so I would suggest uninstalling V9 and install it again. Something obviously didn't go right with the initial installation.

What kind of .avi file? What codec does it use? Where did it come from? What produced it? if it's a DivX or Xvid file you'll have to install the matching codec. If it's from a digital still camera that takes movies then it's probably an MJPEG file and you'll need an MJPEG codec.

In vegas 9, cinescore is a plugin.
