I have Vegas 4.0 +DVD. I mainly use it to make DVD's with photographs put to music with some video interlaced. Would it be worth the money to buy version 6.0
I personally don't think so, although some would disagree. IMO, Vegas 4 was the last great Vegas upgrade (the color correction tools alone). If you are still using W98SE, Vegas 4 was the last version that worked with that OS. From what you describe that you use it for, Vegas 4 + DVDA 1.0 should be just fine.
There are some that ran out to buy a new computer so they could run newer versions.
But I'll let others jump in here.
I loved the features of V5 but didn't have the money at the time. I went from V4 to V6+DVDA3. Great bargin IMHO.
However, if you have no problems with your current version there's no reason to upgrade. Technically, you could get away with simpler programs then Vegas but 4 is great & if you don't need/want a new version, don't bother.
However, you don't loose the liscence on your old product, so you could upgrade to V7 when it comes out & use both.
I've been using Vegas 4 all this past year and it works great as it is. There's been so many complaints about bugs/problems with V5/V6 I am not upgrading, plus the additional features are things I just don't need.
I've created a bestselling 7-DVD course and many terrific internet infomercials using Vegas 4 (sitefomercials.com, tradingvideos.com) and highly recommend it. Based on what I've seen here re user complaints, I would not upgrade to V5/V6.
Good to hear it ... I'll likely upgrade/buy V7 once it's out, as I trust Spot and since he likes V5/V6, I'll give the new version a try. Just not on my work station, not early after release. Any word on a new vegas release?
