Upgrade Offer

Hi,
I have the download version of Vegas Pro 15 and keep getting offers to pay a set price to upgrade to the newest Vegas Pro 19 which is a subscription. If I pay the offer price to upgrade to 19 will I just own the download version or do I then still have to pay for the monthly subscription?

Thanks!

On the Vegas Pro 19 purchase web page:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-edit/

... click on the little arrow just under the 'Choose a plan:' text and there appears a choice of 2 subscription options, a new purchase option and an upgrade option, the latter two options being perpetual (owned) licences which apparently come with 12 months of updates. From what Vegas Pro staff have commented on the forum around the time of Vegas Pro 19's release, VP19 is now the long-term version of the product and there will be ongoing feature upgrades from time-to-time rather than the yearly new versions that have occurred in the past. It seems similar to the approach taken by MicroSoft where Windows 10 was the last ever version number of Windows and it would be incrementally updated with new features. Thus I guess that Windows 11 is just a figment of my imagination 🙂🙂🙂.

@Chris-Reppel The license offerings are identical as they have been in previous releases. You have the option of a subscription or a perpetual license. The price you are being offered (I assume) is for the perpetual license, so no need to worry about a monthly fee.
