Upgrade price 249.00 ,update to 13 get 14 free199.00

A poster a few months back when the 199 deal was on said he was going to buy another copy of 13 even though he did not need it. I made a smart butt comment to his suggestion, never believing as a 13 owner that my upgrade would cost me more than getting another copy of 13. Well joke is certainly on me!! very pathetic, kind of a slap in the face . Of course that is just my opinion and in no way will influence my upgrade if the product is improved considerably. Well maybe it will.

At current stage.  Magix keep using the word upgrade offer.  It is not a upgrade offer at all but rather a promotional discount to ALL users.  This is a good deal for new comers/new users.  But it is a slap in the face for loyal Vegas owners.

With another special upgrade I can throw in another $30.00 to upgrade Vegasaur to work with Vegas 14. And from another thread it looks like another expense to be able to continue using Plural Eyes.

A nickel here, a dime there, this can get VERY expensive! No ac3-Pro. Throw in the bugs and I am shut down.

When one factors in the real total costs of upgrading to Vegas 14, it can be significant and still not give me the results I now get with Vegas 13. All for an import of Pro-Res I do not need and the ability of resizing to 4k which I have yet to figure out. But something that might be nice to have but not something I really need.

So at the moment, Vegas 14 = failure! And this makes me very sad...

+1 vidmus and all the others pointing out the ridiculous pricing arrangements that have left many of us longtime users both confused and disappointed.
