Upgrade to DVDA 1.0c fails

It tried to upgrade on WINDOWS XP Prof. from DVDA 1.0 to 1.0c Build 312.
An error message apperead that the path c:/.../temp/ is write protected and the installation is not possible. I tried to run the upgrade file in serveral
different folders, the message was allways the same. Can you tell me what I
have to do.

First, search the vegas forum for the same symptom and see what solutions were offered for this exact same problem. Alternately, log on as an administrator.

remove read only atribute from files - for examp. [C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry Setup\DVD Architect 1.0\ . . . . . ]
or move files from this folder to other dir.
This worked for me on xp pro. sp1
