Upgrades to avoid tech difficulties

Hi everyone,
Just wondering; I just installed the Remix factory, which
as you might know includes Acid 1.0d, SF XP 4.0e and CD
Arch. 4.0e build 20. Do I need to upgrade these or should I
just start creating sounds and using the wonderful tools as
is? Also, since I just bought this last Saturday, is there
an upgrade price? Please email me, as I probably won't be
on this board too often.
Thanks,
-Gregg

PS: I tried saving a file from XP as a PCM wav, opened it
in Acid and it sounded like it had a filter on it or the
wrong sampling rate. When I reopened in XP, it sounded
fine...

Gregg,

We have an update in the Download area you should get when you
have a chance. Acid is at version 1.0d so you have the latest there
but the CD Architect update gives you version 4.5b of XP and
includes some handy tools for editing samples for Acid.

The file in Acid that sounds strange is probably being stretched and
this is causing it to sound filtered. Highlight the file and go to
Properties. If you set it to One shot it will not be stretched. Or
for longer samples and tracks you might not wish to load into RAM,
use Disk-Based as type under Properties.
