Upgrading to a Perpetual if I picked Sub today (have an old license)

Hello,

I am wanting to know if I would be able to use the upgrade option for Vegas Pro 23 still, as I have a license for 17, if I were to pick the subscription option now and upgrade later. I need to make a project fast, and I'm liking 23 so far, yet the project can't have the watermark. I can't afford a perpetual license right now even with the sale and upgrade discount, but 17 is outdated for what I need to do and I run into issues with my footage working on 17.

If I am able to upgrade later that would be great as I would like to have a perpetual license for 23.
