Upload Video to website?

Thanks for all your help with my DVD making! especially MPM ;o)

I have now got to grips with DVDA4 and made a DVD with menus etc, the only problem is that i can only send to my Mac (which has a DVD writer) using Toast 7.

When my prepared dvd folder is dragged into Toast to burn, it says "6 of the files are unsupported!" and the titles/chapters are all missing when burnt but the film is fine!!! - is there anyway around this ie: DVDA4 conversion so that MAcs can read?

Secondly how can i upload a video to my website? i am brand new to this - what is the normal size for a video to stream ok, and whats the best format from vegas 7, flash?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Buckaroo, this has been a real learning experience for you, eh? :-)

I know nothing about Macs or Toast, so can't help you specifically, but...

You could download DVDDecryptor (freeware, look in the tools section of DVDRhelp.com) and "burn" the DVD folders to an .iso (disc image) file. I would think that any burning program on any platform should be able to burn that.

Easiest way to get video on your site [in my opinion anyway] is to encode to Xvid with mp3 audio & upload to YouTube. They've got the directions posted, will turn your video into flash for you, and when you're done all you have to do is copy and paste the link they give you onto your web page - the player will look like it's inserted with your video right on your page.. Google Xvid or go to someplace like videohelp.com to get it (free open source software) There are several other companies that have free video storage too.

nolonemo is right about creating an image I *think* -- just don't have a MAC to have tried it on.
