Uploading Video

When I am uploading or importing video from my video camera, mini DV, is it better to upload the whole tape and edit in Vegas or is it better to just upload the portions of the tape that I will actually be using?

Which works better for you? There is one and only one technical issue involved, and that is if you have enough hard drive space to hold the entire tape (13GB/hour). If so, then do whichever you prefer. If you're short on drive space and only have enough for the part of the tape you're going to use then capgure just those portions. Drive space aside, the only difference is what's easier for you to work with.
