A read abut upmixing stereo tracks to 5.1 a lot. Of course, you don't get a real 5.1 track, but is close. Before descovering the 5.1 profile in Vegas, I used a lot of soft like Besweet, Ac3Machine, SoundForge or other and tried a lot of tutorials or guides. I tried then to upmix using the 5.1 preset from Vegas.
But there are some questions:
1. I put in each of the 6 tracks the same stereo track and just do panning and adjust volume ? (wich are the recomended values for volume ?)
2. Is there any guide for stereo to 5.1 upmix in Vegas ? (I tried to find something on the net and... nothing)
It would be nice to have a specialist opinion about that feature, wich is very useful, especially if you want to transform some avi(DivX, XviD) stereo in DVD format(ac3 5.1)
