URGENT audio help required....

ok, those of you who know me are probably aware of my bad hearing - i joke about it often enough. usually hanna, my wife, has sat with me (none too patiently i might add) during my final mix to check for 'problems'.

however, she's in china for an exhibition and....

i've just ingested the tapes / files from one of my multiple interviews (for meals on wheels pro bono trainer) to discover my second cameraman didn't connect the second pzm. it's a 3 minute piece with one track pzm on interviewer the second with nothing for the first 30 secs, then crappy camera mic for rest. the interviewer is fine, but the little old lady being interviewed is a mess.

i 'm getting more and more frustrated that i really can't hear what i'm doing, and having tried isotope i really can't judge if i've made a pigs ear out of silk purse....

if any kind soul out there is willing to have a go at it so i can at least get something useable i'd really appreciate it.

i can supply 2 separate .wav files (one of which will obviously be blank for the first 30sec as they've already been 'snyc'ed' for multicam).

fingers crossed.

Why don't you just post a clip, any of the 'audio' experts can tell you if it actually is reparable, and possibly do it for you.

PS, SCS has an "Vegas Audio forum" too... or do you call a plumber to to your electrical or work too.

Posting here was appropriate; I never check the audio forum. It might be wise to post in both places.

thanks....

as it is i have had a number of offers from well respected members, and have taken their kindly offers up.

as for posting in this forum rather than elsewhere - i have been here for quite some time and know that among it's contributors are a great many sound 'specialists' whose open advice given here has always been expertly and clearly given. that's not to say i wouldn't receive the same on another forum, but if your plumber also happens to run an electrical business too....

again, many thanks to all who've offered help. it's not only greatly appreciated it just goes to reinforce my long held belief that no matter what wobblies vegas might throw, there's always someone here willing to lend a steadying hand ;-)

oh, and perhaps many members here also like a challenge NOT of their own making ;-)
