URGENT Menu Pause Question

I have created a DVD that opens (using a menu) and plays an animation. The final frame of this animation needs to pause until the enter key is pressed, so I created a hidden button to a transition to the specified title...

However, what I am worried about is the pause. I am aware that some DVD players, when paused, will only hold the pause for about 10-15min and then they will show a DVD logo. I have set the end action for the menu background media (animation) to HOLD rather than transfer to another menu with a still image.

Is this the same as the HOLD end action. I became worried when I played it back on a DVD player and it showed the paused sign when the menu was complete...

Hope I have made myself clear?

Need advice urgently. Thanks. fixler

You can't guarantee what any DVD player will do. No matter what you set up on your DVD, various players may interpret it differently or ignore what you want to have happen. Probably the only way to come close to having the image stay on the screen without the player's logo or screensaver showing up is to have a very very long video made of that still image and link to that. You could use a shorter video and loop it, but many DVD players will briefly flicker to black at the loop point. You might be able to use an image compilation (slideshow), setting the duration as long as possible, adding multiple copies of the same still image as necessary. This will use very little space on the disc and could potentially run for hours. There may be a tiny flicker from one image to the next though if each image gets encoded slightly differently. Then there's the problem of linking from that to the next part of the video, which will probably require jumping back to a menu or using the skip forward button.
