I have both Vegas Video 3.0 and 4.0. I created a project in 3.0 and am attempting to render it to MPEG-2. I get the message that no templates exists for this format (which has NEVER happened before, I rendered a 2 hour movie a few months ago!). What happened to the MPEG-2 template??
So I opened the project in 4.0, figuring I could just do it there. The MPEG-2 template is there, so I'm fairly sure it will work. But the problem with 4.0 is that it's not picking up the effects plug-ins I have for 3.0 (black & white, sepia, gaussian blur, etc.). I can't figure out a way to get 4.0 to recognize that I do have these plug-ins (tried to locate them to copy them to the 4.0 folder, but they must be hidden or encoded, can't find them!)
Can anyone help with either of the above? Either how to find the lost MPEG-2 template for 3.0, or how to get 4.0 to recognize the effects?
I'm under the assumption that I HAVE to render to MPEG-2 in order to record to DVD and play on a regular DVD player. Is this true.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
