I've read an older tutorial by Spot and the Ultimate S Tutorial stating you should render ypur project out to 24p before you add transistions, FX, titles...etc. Is there a specific reason to render to 24p at that time as opposed to completing the project normally and do a final render out to 24p....
If you convert already existing transitions to 24P, you run into issues. This is one of the reasons Vegas is such a hit with the 24p crowd, it sets up transitions, stills, and generated media correctly for 24P.
That makes sense....
another workflow question Spot, for this example I 'll use a wedding ceremony. If I only want a "highlights" vignette in 24p, I would save the project to 24p after I rough editied (just cuts) the multicamera tracks. I would continue on in normal 30fps for the completion of the ceremony and then use the 24p-created files/veg for the highlights...is this correct
You could, I'm not sure why/what you'll gain there. If you didn't shoot in 24p, the MAIN value in going to 24p in post is storage space, although you do get a cadence that's similar to film without the film look. Of course, you can create the film-like look using either the Magic Bullet tools, Ultimate S tools, or experimenting with various plugs.
