Using an image as a button for linking

I am trying to use a small thumnail picture in the main menu as a custom button to which I can link to a media to be played when the picture is selected.

This is easy to do with the many button templates provided but I cannot seem to find a way to accomplish this with the picture thumnail (jpeg) I have inserted.

Please someone help me to understand how to do this.

Select the button.

Under Button Properties / Media / Frame Properties / Frame Media there is a Text Field listing the image currently used for the button.

Select any pic you want in the Explorer Tab then lift and Drop this onto the Text Field.

Peter,

Much thanks for you suggestions. The challenge I face is making that graphic image a button which can be linked to within the project. If I select one of the buttons from the gallery, I see no way to merge the graphic image into the button. If you can tell me how to do this you will have answered my question.

Please feel free to offer suggestions as I have encountered this several times in various projects and it does seem fairly basic but it has stumped me thus far.

Drag the movie media that you want to link to onto the menu from the explorer window; this will create a button that has an image from the media. Select the button by clicking on it. On the right had side in the properties you'll a section title "graphics" and in that you'll see a property called "thumbnail" - click on the ... and select the JPEG you want to use as the thumbnail.

This assumes you are using DVDA 2.0 or DVDA 3.0.
