Using Batch Converter w/ VV5

I recently purchased Vegas 5 + DVD and have a version of Batch Converter 5.0f from my old Vegas 3.0. When I try to select MainConcept MPEG-2 as the format to convert to I get an error saying "The chosen file format plugin could not be located and will be removed from the list. The format may not be allowed to be used in the Batch Converted or the plugin should be reinstalled to correct the problem."

Any idea how to fix this?

Alternatively is there another good way to convert 40 .AVI files to MPEG-2 using the mainconcept encoder?

The only good way to do this in 5 is to use the built in render script.
Drop all 40 avi's on the Vegas timeline.
Make each a region
Do Tools>scripting>Batch render.

It will render each of them as a separate mpg.

You can also use Roger's Batch Converter Pro, I think it's about 40$, and it does it all, including the AC3 when it's done with the MPEG
