Using Cookie Cutter bug in sony vegas pro 11

hi there i have a problem with my videos, if you can solve it i would appreciate so much cause this is giving me such a headache. So, the thing is my videos are in 1920x1080 and so when i use a cookie cutter effect in it, lets say a square form, the moment i see it in the preview its perfectly fine but when i render it, the video just gets cut out by the top and the bottom of the square and instead of being a square it becomes a rectangle....i rly dont know why this is happening, since the resolution is the same but if you could help me i would love it cause this is actually getting into my nerves.
