using DV in a Hd project

I have a HD (720p) project.
I have some 720*480 dv that I want to use in the project. When i place the DV materal in the timeline, Vegas blows it up to the full height of the 1280*720 Video preview window.
I want the DV to show up as 720*480 in the 1280*720 Video preview window - how can I do this.
Further more, I want to move the dv clip around to the extreme right or left of the HD frame. I cant seem to do this as Vegas crops the left and right to 4:3
help!!

Perhaps you can put the DV footage on its own track and use Track Motion set to "Match Source Aspect" If that doesn't work you can certainly use the Track Motion to scale the DV footage to the size you desire.
