I am using the Canopus ADVC110 to capture from VHS. I found that if I use the dipswitch the way that is recommended from Canopus, my black levels and video are about 8 units too high. If I used the dipswitch that corrects this while capturing, it acts as if it is using an AGC on the video.

So I capture using the first one and I have found the settings in the LEVEL plugin that correct it to the correct setup and video level. Is the LEVELS plugin the best thing for this, or am I screwing with the quality?
