using movie studio 16 on pc

I was working on a movie in movie studio 16 when the power was interrupted by a PG&E brownout. I lost the enter movie file, but I was able to find copies in stored docs. Unfortunately the files are in a .vf format, and I am not able to open this format or access it in any way. Can I convert them to MP4 and publish on U-Tube, or move them back into movie studio for more editing.

".vf" is your Movie Studio project file. It does not contain any video just instructions as to where VMS should find your source material plus your edit instructions. Open the vf file in MS16 and if your source files are still intact on your pc you should have your project open again.

I tried opening .vf file using movie studio 16 and got this message: "the following file cold not be found in the specified location."

What was the file that couldn't be found? Grab a screenshot of the message and post here.

I suspect it's probably one of your source media files that has either been moved or no longer exists?
