Hmm...curious. Because I just watched the training video Spot did and he does say in it that you can use third party lower thirds or add your own. Disappointing.

Marks, you can modify the lower thirds though. I recently substituted a client's logo for one of the stock lower third buttons and it looked quite slick. If it isn't clear how to do this post so and I will describe the process.

I realise that I could modify and existing one so that it would appear in the drop down list, and leave the stock ones intact.

It is a feature that we had wanted to add and quite often training videos are done with early betas of code so that they can be ready at the same time as the final code. So Spot was explaining how we wanted it to work (which is why he didn't show you how). Unfortunately, that feature did not make it in for the first release but as I said, it's on our list.
