using the mask tool on a chroma keyed green screen leaves a line trace

Whenever I use my green screen and i cut out anything that not the screen using the masking tool, it leaves an outline from where the points are when masking it. Feathering it doesn't work because it'll just show the green screen or everything outside the screen.

I use Sony Vegas 14 and I don't know if there's anything to fix this problem
