Using Vegas's MIDI Time Clock

I'm trying to setup Vegas Audio to send MIDI Time Clock to drive my Reason sequencer.  It appears as though the clock is sending info from Vegas, but I can't get Reason to sync with it. Vegas asks for MIDI output device and Reason asks for Midi Input Device.  The problem is that both programs are on the computer and therefore do I need to send data through my Midisport 2x2?  When I select no input/output devices respectively, Reason doesn't play either. ANy suggestions?

So Reason should then show the Virtual Input Device Automatically once installed?

right. the Virtual MIDI Router acts just like another MIDI IO device. it will appear as an Input and Output device on all your MIDI programs.

Have had difficulty trying to set this up with 'Reason'. Are both 'Reason' and 'Vegas' open at the same time and does the 'Vegas' control strip appear at the bottom of 'Reason' as seems to be the case in a similar syncing of 'Vegas' to 'cubase' in Computer Music Magazine where Cubases' controls appear at the bottom of the 'Vegas' screen?
Can we have a step by step implementation plan that explains the visual cues present when both applications are synced? By the way it seems that Vegas Audio 3.0 will support vst.

how would a Word clock be implemented in this type of situation? (Synching Vegas to a MIDI sequencer)
